iPad Book Case Upcycled from Beige and Red Handyman Guide, with Retro Style Fabric Inside, Fits Nook HD Plus

I converted this handsome 1975 book into a cover for a full-size iPad tablet or Nook HD+. The beige and red cover of “Complete Handyman Encyclopedia” features shiny gold embossed letters. On the right side, large letters spell “do-it-yourself.” Smaller print at the bottom describes what volume 1 contains — ABRASIVES to AUTOMOBILE ENGINES.

Inside, 2 panels protect your device, which is held in place by white elastic. The fabric is a retro geometric pattern, with dark brown and red pink interlocking oblong shapes (from a repurposed skirt). The panel facing the screen is padded and includes a large rectangular pocket that can hold flat valuables. An chocolate brown elastic strap keeps the case closed.

The case measures 7 1/2″ (19.5 cm) x 10″ (26 cm). Considering its age, the front cover is in excellent condition.
